Seasonal Influenza Vaccination

From September of every year, the practice invites eligible patients to attend for their seasonal influenza vaccine.

Below is the list patients who are eligible for the NHS Free Seasonal Influenza vaccination.

• at risk patients e.g. undergoing chemotherapy, impressed immunity,
• 2 to 3 year olds
• 65 years old plus
• Carers
• Pregnant women

Patients who are eligible  are advised to contact the practice from the 1st week in September to book for their seasonal influenza vaccination.  The practice also sends out SMS text invites/reminders to eligible patients to book for their appointments.

Schools provides the seasonal influenza vaccination to the cohort of children who are eligible at school.
