Who is eligible for Flu?
From 1st September 2025
Children aged 2 and 3 years can receive the nasal flu.
Pregnant women and babied under 2 years
School children from reception to Year 11 will be offered flu at school
From 1st October 2025
Patients Aged 65 years and over
Aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups (Can be found on GOV website ‘Green-Book’)
Patients in long-stay residential care homes
Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
Patient in close contact with immunocompromised individuals
Frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme. This includes:
Patients working for a registered residential care or nursing home,
Patients who are registered domiciliary care or hospice providers
Patient who are employed by those who receive direct payments (personal budgets) or Personal Health budgets, such as Personal Assistants
We are happy to give your flu to you any day that the surgery is open. Please ask at reception and we will fit you in.
